Stuck at La Guardia >.<

It’s 3:51 Central time and my flight was supposed to be off the ground 51 minutes ago. Also 51 minutes ago someone from United was supposed to come on the pa system to let us know what’s going on with our flight. My papi told me that it’s supposed to storm in Chicago soon, so that may delay me even more. I really wanted to make it back for Good Friday service! I still may be able to swing that depending on when they fix whatever the problem is.

On a different note, I’ve decided that driving around out here is crazy! I got lost because the highway that I was on looks like the same thing as the Garden State Freeway on the map that I got. So I drove from La Guardia through Jersey and to upstate New York, shooting many miles west of where I was supposed to be. Then going to the hotel after work on Monday, I found that there is a tiny tiny sign for the hotel that you cannot see if you’re travelling east on 59 (which happened to be the way that I was going). So I stopped half way between Nanuet and Nyack at a grocery store for directions. See I’m not proud…I’ll stop and ask if I’m lost  But all that aside, I think it’s beautiful out here (where my office is at least). I think I could get a place out here and chill for a couple of months.

4:01 now and no word on our flight. It’s a good thing they have internet here at the airport so I’m in luck, well sort of. Ok, I’m off…meaning I’ll just post this, otherwise I’d go on until they called us for our flight (which very well could be who knows when).

New Jersey

Hey my faithful readers, I just wanted to post an update as to what’s going on in my world. I arrived safely back from LA last weekend. Oh, while I was out there I got some new kicks:
Diesel Hunters
Diesel Hunters, yes. I really like ‘em. Guess how much I payed…guess! $38 dollars for these nice shoes and you know what, they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I can slip them on and off, I really like the red stitching. Am I sad? Naw, just trying to be trendy.

Any way, I feel better now. It’s been about 2.5 weeks since I’ve gotten sick and I feel much better now. My back is really bothering me though. I think I need some work done, it’s like a pinched nerve or something. I’m writing to you from a hotel in New York. I’m on the boarder of New York and Jersey, in the small town of Nanuet. I’m at the Nanuet Hilton Gardens. There seems to be a lot to do out here, but I’ve been hanging out in my room doing homework. The weather out here is beautiful and the scenery is great, I love nature. One funny thing that happened today …. So I’m going to a VA hospital with one of my older coworkers and he asks if I have XM in my rental car (which is a Monte Carlo with 2600 miles, smooth ride :) ). And I said yea, I think so. He changed it to a hip hop station. This guy reminds me of Nicole’s father, cuz he’s short and kinda funny like Mr. Mah. So any way, we’re driving to the VA and he starts singing to Daddy Yankee (I think), I started laughing in my head and started singing too

One thing that kinda stinks is that I’m away from Nicole for 3 weeks now, I got to see her this past weekend. That was nice! I’m headed out to Duke U late next week do help with an install. That’ll be Nicole’s al mamater (I know that’s spelled wrong) in a few years

Well it’s about time for me to jet.
