Back in Chicago

I arrived back in the Cold Chi last night at 10:30ish. It was good to see my parents, who picked me up at Midway. I had a great time in Phoenix! The weather was just right, maybe a little on the warm side for me at times. I love the Nicole’s family and I’m extremely grateful for their kindness and generosity! I partied it up with the Wong’s a few times … it’s always a good time when I go out there. Spiritually, it was wonderful. Northwest is a good church and just talking to some of the cousins and friends out there, I was encouraged. Even though I felt extremely busy, I still felt like I had time to think and relax. I brought back some of Auntie Mary’s tamales, as usual. I ate 3 when I got home, for dinner … and some of Uncle’s navy bean soup
So I got home, talked to my brothers for a bit and the girlfriends. I opened my presents, ate dinner talked more then off to bed, because I’m at work now  It’s raining and just dreary here. I think waking up to a nice sunny morning does something to the body. But alas I must work, bills to pay you know.
There is some exciting news that I have, however I’ll let it come from the horse’s mouth. Here’s my hint.

More to update later.

Brown Christmas ^.^

Instead of experiencing the “white Christmas” here in Chicago, I’ll be experiencing the “brown Christmas” :D Yes, I’m headed out to Phoenix tomorrow. The 3-day forecast for both Chicago and Phoenix is as follows:
Chicago: 17 Tuesday, 23 Wednesday, 32 Thursday
Phoenix: 74, Tuesday, 74 Wednesday, 74 Thursday
NICE  , I’m looking forward to getting out of this awful weather. Though 32 is nice, compared to the single digit’s we’ve been hitting here. It is confirmed, I’ll be doing some shopping while out in AZ, because Nicole isn’t finished yet. I don’t mind … as long as I can buy stuff too! We’re supposed to go get Chris’ gift too. I’ll be meeting up with Debbie, Juila and my boy Justin out there for some good times, as usual. IT’S MY TURN TO PAY J! I’m looking forward to chilling at the Mahnsion, hangin’ out with the family out there, Tigger (of course :) )

I’m really looking forward to this Christmas. I’ve been thinking probably throughout this whole advent season … What was it like for the Israelites back in the day to wait expectantly for Jesus. How eager some of them must have been. Also, just the significance of His coming. I’ve been comparing that to my attitude these past few month, just realizing how filthy my attitude and heart has been. Hopefully things are on the up swing.

OK, time to work again. It’s my Friday!! NICE.

“Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow”

Now growing up I’ve always loved the snow. We would build forts, go sledding and just play in it. Chicago is supposed to get a few more inches today and I find that my attitude towards the subject has changed, mainly for one reason … I drive now. Don’t get me wrong I still think snow covered trees and such are a beautiful sight. However with the barrage of people who cannot drive in the snow/while it’s snowing frustrates me like no other. Also considering I have to put the snow tired on my car, otherwise I look like “teh nubby.” Why can’t it snow when I don’t have finals to go to. I’m somewhere between  -
Speaking of finals, I have 2 today and 2 tomorrow. The only one I’m kinda worried about is Econ 3something.

So I’m not sure if you’ve read my post on Lust. If you have not please take a look at it before you continue reading…I’ll give you time.

Ok, now that you’re all caught up. I was thinking yesterday, “I’m glad that my desire for Nicole doesn’t change like my desire for these new toys.” I’m glad that I didn’t invest in the Torq p100 (also called E-Ten m500). It had some setbacks like no WiFi and didn’t come with Windows Mobile 5.0, it however got great reviews. It’s a solid phone/pda, which is what I’m looking for. Buuut, E-Ten released it’s younger … more desirable sister, E-Ten m600 (also called Torq p100w). Very similar to her sister, but a little more robust. The m600 comes the way I like my coffee, black and bold  m600 is WiFi ready, has a sleek black look to her. The original manufacturer E-Ten has fixed the issues with the T-Mobile signal, so there’s no need to get the rebanded Torq. Windows Mobile 5.0 is also more robust then WM 2003. My financial position has also changed a little, so you may see me with one in the first quarter of 2006  And I won’t leave you without a picture.

Finals Week

So it’s finals week for me, one more down and three do go (I hope).
Project Graduation: Fall ‘06
Degree: Computer Science (Information Technologies concentration)
Will I Walk: NOPE
Career Prospects: ESD will always be considered, though much may be contingent on where Nicole will be going to school. I may take other things into consideration, it’s somewhat about the benjamins ;)

So I’m going into finals week, knowing that I won’t finish as strong as I did last semester. The old saying “Cs” get degrees is slowly hacking away in my mind, as I can almost taste graduation. With just 2 more semesters and a summer session, the end is in sight. I just need to get my butt in gear this week, then I can rest for a bit.

On happier notes, I can’t believe how far into the Christmas season we are already. Next week I fly out to sunny Arizona to spend Christmas with the Mah/Wong families. Looking forward to good food, fun and fellowship. I haven’t chatted with Mr. Mah in a while so I can’t wait for that too. I’ll probably be spending a lot of time at malls since Nicole isn’t finished shopping yet. Being the superb shopper, I am finished! Online baby, I love it … no lines. We’ll probably chill with Debbie, Justin and Julia of course.

Of couse I’ll miss my family … this is going to be my second Christmas away from home. So I miss out on dirty BINGO at grammy’s on Christmas eve (good times), Christmas eve service, eggs benedict with the family Christmas morning, getting to open presents with my brothers and parents, Christmas dinner with Grampy’s side (ohhhh deep fried turkey  ) and just chillin’ in the snow. But that’s anyone, I’m guessing who’s grown up with certain traditions.

I think that’s all for now.

My Boy Met Kristen

My boy and Kristen
So my buddy Ed went up to Canada the other week and got to meet Kristen. He said she was pretty sweet, buuut told her that they couldn’t date because he’s saving himself for Eva L.
