It’s FRIDAY!

Well it’s my Friday at least. I’m taking off tomorrow to run errands for my buddy’s wedding. It’s hard to believe that more and more of my friends are getting married or are married for that matter. I think there’s only a few of us that aren’t … well people might way that I am, but .. no  and she’d say the same thing (we’re both happily not married at the moment). I have the privilege to be standing up in this wedding! Heading out to the reception hall tomorrow morning and drop off a few things, prolly head to the shop to do some work for my pa. I have to get my tux, practice tomorrow night and WEDDING on SATURDAY! FUN FUN.

On a different note, work is crazy this week. For some reason we have periods when everything breaks all at once, up until this morning. It’s quite now, but as soon as I got here the calls were flying in. I think I aced my Data Structures exam last night. Which will be good because I’ll need to balance out my GPA this semster, Chem and Econ are going to be ridiculous I think.

Nicole’s interview went well, plus she made a friend who was from here!

CCP Men’s Basketball League started it’s fall season and I’m pumped! First regular season game is this Sunday. I’m not sure what our team name is going to be, I guess generically we can be team black for now. Good luck to us! I need more skill … need to remember “BEEF”:)

Frustrating …

These past few days have been a little frustrating for me. Usual I take things well. I mean I’m not saying that I’ve lost it or anything, but just a little overwhelmed. I played like poop on Sunday for the league, good thing the season starts this week. So on the way home I’m driving and I drop my exhaust … not the muffler, that managed to stay on the car. I’m dragging this thing home (about 4 - 6 miles), apparently sparks were flying (Yoko and D were tryin’ to call me and let me know, but my cell was in the trunk). My car now sounds like a hot rod and the annoying scraping of metal on the ground.
Monday I head to school, thankfully my father let me use his car. I took my first chemistry exam for the semester. Now I didn’t buy the book because the professor said that we’re only accountable for the things that he talks about in class. I get to this test and probably 1/3 of it is from the book (things he did NOT speak about in class). I’m not sure how I did … I suppose I’ll find out today, I hope it’s curved. On a high note, Assembly class was good, I think I’m starting to understand, 5 weeks into the semester.
Tuesday was a pretty normal day. I found out in Econ that I have an exam next Thursday, lovely. So this week and next is my first wave of exams (2 this week and 2 next). Had to drive my car to school, so that I could drop it off at CarX afterwards. This thing was looound and everyone was looking at me. Dropped it off before ballin’. Played like poop again, as usual. I missed 2 easy layups, “GOSH”!
And finally today, I’m tired from ball and I find out that the work that needs to be done on my car … let’s see, what could I have done with the money if I was out of debt …. hmmm … I could probably pay for 2 of the plane tickets that I’d use next year for weddings. $300 to fix my car  Looks like it’s going to be later then I expected … which leads to this ->
Why do I say it’s ok, weeelllllll, I want to save to buy a certain ring, a special ring  But we talked about marriage last Sunday and it turns out that she’ll looking at one year later then I was planning. Which is ok, I mean it gives me more time to save for the 213,412,500 people wedding we’re probably going to have. So, all in all, it’s not really that much of a setback. And I am grateful that I even have a car and am in school. My frustration is just because I’m a huge world person.
Thanks for listening to me rant.

Ok, This is Getting a Little Weird Now

Let me get the updates out of the way. I balled on Tuesday, probably the worst I’ve ever played in my life! Wednesday was pretty normal. Which brings me to today.

So a while back I was eating Chinese food (here we go talking about food again). Well, after the meal of course I get my fortune cookie. Now most people expect the normal fortunes such as “The next chance you take will be a profitable one” or “Loyal friends will show you the path to take” or “Take the next opportunity that comes your way”, etc. etc. You get my point. Any way, I get one that says, “The customs and culture of China attract you” Nicole was right there and I was falling out of my seat laughing. What a coincidence, I’m dating a Chinese girl. I just thought that was weird. So today I’m taking tests here and there (I’m a little borde here). It’s turns out that I’m 20% Weird … Which is less weird then Lauren, so I’m thankful for that! Ok, so I take this other test and this is what it tells me:

You Should Learn Chinese

Surprised? You shouldn’t be - Chinese is perfect for an ambitious person like you.
You’re a natural entrepreneur, and a billion people are waiting to do business with you!
  WHAT THE HECK

I took this test and it asked me a bunch of questions to determine what language I should learn. I WILL NOT LEARN CHINESE!

Smilies are Fun!!

So I was getting a little annoyed that I didn’t know the code to get my smilies to work. So, I decided to do some research and figured it all out:
                   :!:
Those are all the smilies that I have access too :)

Ok, a quick overview of the weekend. The meeting on Saturday was really good, as I thought it would be. Then off to worship team practice where Nicole and I hammered out the details to the set. Theeen off to a birthday party, which was much fun by the way. Lakeside has some awesome actors, among them is none other then Fonger, hehe. I led Sunday and got some goood constructive criticisms, so I was happy! We ate with some of the young adults at Tiff’s place. Then had some Mexican food (that pa made) for dinner YUM!

Yoko’s wedding is coming up in almost a week and a half. I’m excited! As a bonus I get to drive the STi, yay! Well I get a lot of bonuses I guess. I get a haircut, get to take Friday off of work, prolly more, all of this in addition to standing up for Yoko and his soon to be wife :D NICE!

Gonna ball today, so that means I’m not gonna be able to move tomorrow. It’ll be good practice for the league though. There’s still time to sign up for the CCP Men’s Basketball League, the commish is giving new registers until this Sunday without having to pay the late fee.

Lust issue is not as bad, if you don’t know what I’m talking about see here. I still think about the Torq p100, but I’ve come to terms I think that I can’t really afford one right now. So I’ll bear with with phone and pda situation. Ohh the agony

On a side note, the new season of Las Vegas started up again! I’ve been waiting for this all summer. Out of the few hours of TV that I watch a week, this definitely comes high on the priority list.

Lust is a Horrible Thing

This week is flying by. I think this semester is going to pass pretty quickly. When I’m busy, it just seems like the week begins, then the week ends … repeat. Classes are going to be a little tougher this semester I think. I don’t know if I’m annoyed with school or it just getting a little harder, or a combination of both. But yes, hopefully I can make Dean’s list again. Work is on and off, slow at times while others it seems like I don’t have a chance to sit down and chan to you all :) Nicole made gooood banana and chocolate chip bread the other day, that was YUM, THANKS NICOLE, you’re the greatest! It seems like every chan entry I talk about food :D
So now I’m guessing you’re wondering why I’m lusting. Websters Online Dictionary defines lust in a few ways. For the purposes of this chan entry we’ll look at the last definition, an intense longing. Now I love Nicole so much and this is a different type of longing all together, so if you were thinking that, I hope that brings some clarity and comfort to you. Before Nicole got me the Tungsten E, I wanted to make sure I’d actually use a PDA so I did the planner thing for a little more then a year, writing everything down and such. But for those of you who know me, know that I really like gadgets, so I was excited to get the Tungsten E, then I purchased the Motorola V600 phone because it has bluetooth and I can upload ringtones … very cool, however the sheer bulkiness of these 2 items can get annoying at times. Anyway, I’ve been talking to Nicole about getting a PDA phone, just because it would make my life just that much easier, compact, sleek and newer. The object of my intense longing has been this:
Torq p100
Torq p100
Very nice, it has everything I want (except WiFi, but that’s ok). A smartphone that has it all, powerful and small.
Ok, now the silly part. I actually prayed about my heart yesterday because I was finding that I couldn’t concentrate at work … I know, I know how dumb is that. I just don’t want to be thinking about things like this when I should be doing something more productive. But it’s true, technology gets me going. Pay my bills first, take care of my baby and then perhaps I can get one of these pretty toys.

My weekend plans are as follows. I have a looong meeting tomorrow, that should be really good and I’m looking forward to it. A birthday party at a movie theatre, this should be interesting. Leading worship on Sunday, very excited! We’re still in Nehemiah, I’ve been really blessed these past few weeks going through it. Hopefully a haircut on Sunday, because Yoko and Sandi’s wedding is right around the corner. Then back to work on Monday.

Ok that’s it…take care world!
